ABOUT US:

Gild Atelier was founded in 2008 by Sophie Teppema. After finishing her education at the ‘Vakschool’ Schoonhoven, she worked for several jewelry gallerys. By chance she was able to get a small shop space in a great location and decided to make the move to shop owner herself.

The shop is located at the most central point of Amsterdam: behind Dam Square. It is attached to the Nieuwe Kerk [church turned museum] giving the shop a characteristic charm. After three years shop is doing well and attracts locals, expats and tourists alike.

Sophie Teppema’s design aesthetic has changed over time always keeping a delicate simplicity to her work. She now creates very fine pieces made with a subtle shimmer. This effect is often created by repetition of shapes to create structure and an effortless elegance.


MATERIALS:

Gild Atelier only uses materials such as 14k |18k gold and silver. We also carefully select pearls and precious stones for certain designs making sure these are in keeping with the high quality of silver and gold we use in our products.

Depending on your needs and sourcing we can also make most of the designs in rose or white gold.
